Requirements
- Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Analytics, or Business or related business field
- ONE (1) year of relevant experience in financial, auditing, accounting or business; Advanced Degree may be used in lieu of required year of work experience
Responsibilities
- Help federal clients optimize the operations of their finance organization
- Support audit remediation activities, such as developing/updating process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform recurring testing, such as testing internal controls and designing Managers Internal Controls Programs (A-123)
- Provide targeted area support based on Component, such as performing root cause analysis for journal vouchers and FBWT variances
- Apply federal accounting, financial management, and audit knowledge/expertise when assisting with the development of solutions and providing recommendations to client
Preferred Qualifications
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
- Interest in obtaining CPA, CGFM or related credential
- Department of Navy financial, systems, audit, and/or operational process understanding
- Performing financial statement audits, audit readiness services or audit remediation and sustainment services within DoD or another Federal Government agency or department.
