Requirements
- Expertise in genetic engineering techniques, including CRISPR/Cas9, pronuclear injection, and homologous recombination
- Experience in generating transgenic mouse models and managing mouse colonies
- Strong understanding of compliance with institutional, national, and international guidelines for animal research, including IACUC and AAALAC standards
- Ability to maintain meticulous records and generate detailed reports
- Experience in training personnel on technical procedures and compliance requirements
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for generating transgenic mouse models
- Perform embryo microinjections and other advanced micromanipulation techniques
- Design and oversee breeding programs for transgenic mouse colonies
- Maintain meticulous records of all experimental procedures and breeding data
- Conduct and support research projects based on scientific literature and recent advances
- Oversee the maintenance of specialized equipment and facilities for genetic engineering
