Requirements

  • Expertise in genetic engineering techniques, including CRISPR/Cas9, pronuclear injection, and homologous recombination
  • Experience in generating transgenic mouse models and managing mouse colonies
  • Strong understanding of compliance with institutional, national, and international guidelines for animal research, including IACUC and AAALAC standards
  • Ability to maintain meticulous records and generate detailed reports
  • Experience in training personnel on technical procedures and compliance requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for generating transgenic mouse models
  • Perform embryo microinjections and other advanced micromanipulation techniques
  • Design and oversee breeding programs for transgenic mouse colonies
  • Maintain meticulous records of all experimental procedures and breeding data
  • Conduct and support research projects based on scientific literature and recent advances
  • Oversee the maintenance of specialized equipment and facilities for genetic engineering
