Requirements
- Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent required.
- Proven experience (minimum 10-15 years) in HR including Industrial Relations, Leadership or a related field.
- Strong capacity for leadership and autonomy and able to work in a matrix organization.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in French and English.
- Good abilities with IT tools, knowledge of the Google suite is an important asset.
- Experience in designing, developing and delivering HR business solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Operations leaders to understand manufacturing strategies, production goals, safety targets, and workforce challenges.
- Execute A220 HR plans and initiatives that align with manufacturing objectives and overall business strategy.
- Provide HR counsel and coaching to manufacturing leaders on people-related decisions, workforce optimization and organizational effectiveness.
- Analyze manufacturing HR metrics to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions.
- Lead talent management processes for the manufacturing workforce, including workforce planning for unionized and salaried positions, support staffing plan (in partnership with TA) and retention strategies for critical roles.
- Support succession planning for key manufacturing roles.
- Ensure proper management and resolution of complex employee relations issues specific to a manufacturing setting, including shop-floor concerns, disciplinary actions and grievance procedures (union and/or non-union), in partnership with Industrial Relations.
- Actively partner with the Health & Safety team to promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with H&S regulations and support incident investigation and prevention programs.
- Guide the performance management cycle for manufacturing employees.
- Ensure effective implementation and consistent application of HR programs and policies within the manufacturing area.
