Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution along with 5 or more years of experience; OR Master degree with 3 or more years of experience; OR PhD from an accredited institution along with 1 or more years of experience
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; OR DoE equivalent
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
- Prior experience in Configuration Management or equivalent
- Technical knowledge and practice in design, analysis, or on-aircraft experience with Subsystems, Composites, or Metallic Structures
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Support Program tasks and attend meetings
- Maintain Configuration Management Command Media, Work Instructions and perform updates as required
- Perform CDM metrics on a recurring basis and support Program prep meetings
- Overseeing the Engineering Release activities for the F-35 Composite Structure Definition IPT
- Creation of the BTP, SCD, Tech packages and associated supporting engineering business items and data, BTP/SCD Lifecycle (workflow) execution, approval and formal engineering release
- Ensuring a Fully Linked Integrated Engineering Bill-of-Material (EBOMs) on all engineering releases
- Provides assistance and support to other F-35 IPT teams requiring Configuration Management assistance
- Requires meticulous attention to detail while maintaining control over all documents in flow
- Collaborates and coordinates with Technical Leads in the preparation, processing, and release of engineering documentation through the release process
- The selected candidate must be able to support audits, update procedures, and communicate effectively and clearly
- Plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met
- Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system
- Coordinates modification records for management control
- Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor
- Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with FAR/DFAR/DCMA
- Experience developing, evaluating or auditing plans, processes and procedures
- Experience with Lean concepts
- Team leadership and technical delegation experience highly desired
- Experience with Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing and Test documentation
- Familiarity with Cost/schedule/budget concepts and tools (EVMS, SAP, etc.)
- Knowledge of EIA-649, National Consensus Standard for Configuration Management
- An existing DoD security clearance Secret or above
- Government Contracts experience
