Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited school with excellent academic credentials
- Currently admitted and in good standing with a state bar in any jurisdiction
- 0-3+ years’ experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts in a sophisticated environment
- Procurement experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Prepares and drafts, reviews, and negotiates a wide variety of commercial contracts (e.g., service agreements and confidentiality agreements) and supports assistant general counsel and/or associate general counsel in connection with client and/or third-party arrangements
- Advises on commercial contracting requirements as well as legal contracting requirements (e.g., intellectual property rights, data privacy laws and requirements)
- Collaborates with team members to develop more effective and efficient ways to review and negotiate agreements or address new issues (e.g., master consulting agreements)
- Supports clients on contract-related issues in collaboration with or under the direction of other attorneys
- Works with other members of the Department on projects in support of broader initiatives
- Provides back up to attorneys on other contract-related responsibilities
