Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 8 or more years of experience specific to either property and casualty, life and health insurance, retirement and estate planning.
Responsibilities
- Uses internal and external research to understand member needs for advice with respect to the specific subject area, to include identifying the need for differentiated advice by member group.
- Develops, coordinates and maintains USAA’s advice point-of-view, on a specific subject, to support identified member needs.
- Coordinates with lines of businesses and other internal partners to ensure alignment of points-of-view.
- Collaborates within a matrixed environment to ensure availability of USAA’s point-of-view to members and employees through appropriate channels.
- Monitors current relevant member insights, competitive intelligence, industry and economic outlooks/trends, as well as regulatory and legislative issues.
- Assesses impacts of these insights, trends and issues as they pertain to our points-of-view, and leads the appropriate updates of USAA’s points-of-view and scenarios.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Financial Planner ® Designation
- 5 or more years of experience in financial planning, financial advising or a similar role.
- Experience supporting communications; including public relations (podcast, radio, speaking events, Media events).
- Content creation experience – longform article and/or video script writing.
- Expert knowledge of content strategy & Search engine optimization best practices.
- 2 or more years of experience in product management and/or experience owner experience.
- Marketing campaign experience (creative or strategy).
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
