Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from technical college with major in Management or Maintenance Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience with 2-3 years’ experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration
  • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of the function and operation of a large multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility
  • 2+ years working in a sports and entertainment venue
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Directs, supervises, and schedules all aspects of Operations, including Engineering, Building and Grounds, Technical Services, and Custodial Services
  • Inspects operating functions to evaluate and maximize efficiency methods and make recommendations on facility upgrades and energy conservation
  • Will act as a project manager and liaison between venue staff, building owner, and contractors in conjunction with the Directors of Operations
  • Daily monitoring of the CMMS workflow to verify compliance with work orders & inspections
  • Enforces facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Provides clear, concise, and timely communication of directives to other departments
  • Ensures that the Operations Department receives pertinent information for the most effective use of the facility and staffing
  • Oversees maintenance of the physical plant, systems, equipment, and vehicles
  • Understands and ensures all laws, codes, ordinances, policies, procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations and emergency procedures are followed
  • Ensures employees comply with all safety & health program training, fire/life safety practices and emergency procedures
  • Investigates, analyzes, and resolves operational problems and complaints
  • Conducts periodic staff meetings to discuss procedures, problems, and policy changes
  • Scheduling staff in timekeeping system (ABI) and monitoring labor reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ice plant experience preferred, but not required
  • 30-hour OSHA certification preferred or ability to attain certification
