Requirements
- New York State Nuclear Medicine License from the Department of Health
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board CT (NMTCB (CT)) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) if candidate does not have (ARRT)(CT)
- Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program or A.S. or B.S. Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- New York State Nuclear Medicine License from the Department of Health with contrast injection
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Responsibilities
- Handle, prepare, administer and dispose of sensitive radiopharmaceuticals
- Perform quality control and follow aseptic technique standards to ensure patient and colleague safety
- Obtain and distribute medical records as needed
- Collaborate with leading radiology physicians to provide integrated and expert evaluation of each patient
Preferred Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR)
- New York State Department of Health Diagnostic Radiography License with contrast and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)
- Previous experience in PET/CT, PET/CT Cardiology and research
- Prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- IV insertion/Isotope injection
- Prior experience working with GE equipment
