Senior Technical Designer

At least 7 years proven experience plus formal training in 3D computer design.
Extensive experience with Creo and Windchill; expert user level at creating and maintaining bills of materials, mechanical product models/drawings, assembly models/drawings, and installation models/drawings.
Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis on large-scale complex 3D aerospace products; familiar with ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5.
Knowledge of standard components, installation, and fabrication methods (eg, bolted joints, fits and clearances, sheet metal, machining, welding).
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Create CAD models and drawings of designs. Maintain design quality and data integrity through PLM system actions.
Perform design and maintenance of umbilicals product definition by preparing design layouts and drawings, modifying existing designs, and resolving design discrepancies.
Apply company and industry design techniques to plan, lay-out, and maintain data depicting engineering designs – including detail, assembly and installation drawings or datasets.
Support fabrication, installation, and commissioning of new or modified systems at any Blue Origin site, when necessary. Provide guidance on schedule and technical requirements to internal customers.

Aerospace design experience or design experience in a similarly regulated industry.
Creo experience and/or user certification. Windchill experience and/or user certification.
Prior use of mechanical mechanism (kinematic), sheet metal, and/or fluid system design software.
Experience with a PLM or PDM configuration and change control database.
