Requirements

  • 7+ years of corporate & investment banking business management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Banking’s leadership team, including the CAO and COO, and key partners across the organization, by being an objective, data-driven partner and advisor to senior leaders
  • Lead strategic planning of headcount and staffing model for Banking including maintaining multi-year forecasts developed in partnership with senior executives, with a focus on data integrity to ensure accurate reporting and analytics which will foster data-driven business decisions. Prepare various reports and data analytics in a digestible manner for senior leadership.
  • Conduct internal and external benchmarking/analysis. Implement necessary system changes, update process documents, conduct audits, and complete other ad hoc requirements for year-end processes.
  • Partner with COO and finance teams on all human capital analytics, planning, strategy, and forecasting.
  • Craft clear and compelling narratives by leveraging creative data visualization and story-telling to enable opportunity prioritization, recommendations, and broad consensus, which ultimately influences the strategic agenda
  • Assess training and development needs and partner business leaders and various teams across Wells Fargo to create and implement learning and development opportunities for all levels within the Banking business.
  • Lead, coach and develop junior team members both formally and informally

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience at a global, highly matrixed financial services firm
  • Experience working in or with front-line Banking teams and leadership
  • Exposure across a broad human capital remit including involvement in recruitment, performance management, talent management, promotions, retention, employee relations, year-end processes, and budgeting.
  • Advanced level knowledge of the Investment Banking and Corporate Banking businesses
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills for executive presentations and reporting
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, communicate ideas and results effectively, and drive consensus throughout the organization
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment and act with urgency when supporting leadership requests
  • Ability to lead projects from inception to execution with minimal oversight
