Requirements
- 8 + years of experience in Product Counsel at a software company, ideally in the B2B SaaS space.
- Required Juris Doctor, with a license to practice law in your jurisdiction.
- Background in a law firm and in-house legal team.
- Be able to communicate in a clear and understandable manner, i.e. no ‘Legalese’ when engaging with product and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Support product and feature launches from inception to launch for your assigned collection.
- Successfully manage relationships with Product and Engineering team members and executives.
- Partner with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to provide pragmatic legal counsel to the business, with a bias towards action.
- Advise on legal issues including IP, privacy, artificial intelligence, and compliance.
- Advise on transactions with both partners and vendors, development partnerships, integrations, and much more.
Preferred Qualifications
- Computer Science, BSEE, or other technical degree is preferred and programming experience is a bonus.
- Privacy qualifications (e.g., IAPP) are desirable also.
