Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in oil and gas operations, heavy oil, water treatment or steam generation
- 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate (ABSA certified), Diploma in Production Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent
- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Perform pad operation duties for safe and efficient operations and ensure shift changes are well communicated
- Ensure timely action and process adjustments during plant upsets that are consistent with operational objectives and target outputs
- Perform routine operating tasks such as monitoring levels, pressures, and temperatures
- Perform basic troubleshooting and initiate repairs or requests for repairs when required
- Prepare equipment and systems for maintenance
