Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
- Experience in selection and assessment or talent management.
- Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Leading large-scale cross-functional projects to develop selection tools for specific business groups using job analysis and/or competency modeling.
- Maximizing the business value of assessments through the management of criterion and content validation studies.
- Managing the technical strategy and execution of the pre-hire assessment program, including partnering with internal and external technology teams to configure assessments within Verizon’s human capital management suite, overseeing ATS integrations, and defining and maintaining testing policies and requirements.
- Supporting internal stakeholders (e.g., recruiters, HRBPs, hiring managers) by aligning assessment implementation strategy with business needs and serving as an expert resource for questions regarding employment testing considerations.
- Leading and managing assessment and selection vendors.
- Managing large, complex datasets; own and manage assessment data reporting; and perform analyses of applicant and employee data.
- Ensuring assessments are implemented in compliance with all relevant legal and professional standards (e.g., guiding technical documentation and analysis).
- Developing implementation guidelines, processes, communications, and training to support the use of selection and assessment tools.
- Contributing to HR transformation projects, as needed (examples: Talent GPS, Project Aurora, Work Forward).
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master’s in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resource management or related field.
- Consulting experience in selection and assessment
- Experience managing and implementing large-scale selection-related projects in a corporate HR environment.
- Strong understanding of employee selection and related processes, tools, techniques, and validation practices.
- Experience developing structured interview guides for employee selection.
- Experience with professional standards and practice in employment testing, measurement, and selection (e.g., Uniform Guidelines, OFCCP, SIOP, APA Standards).
- Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple large-scale projects.
- Excellent critical thinking and decision‐making skills when working under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to, communicate with, build alliances with, and influence stakeholders and senior executives.
- Ability to communicate data-based information effectively and concisely to corporate stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Google Slides, Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Persistence in driving ideas and delivering quality solutions and deliverables against tight deadlines.
- Experience interacting with and/or managing vendors.
- Strong verbal and written, and presentation skills.
- Experience with Workday
- Experience creating and/or delivering executive presentations on relevant topics.
- Experience in R, SPSS, SAS, or other statistical packages for data/trend analysis.
