Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 4+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting or an Advanced Degree with 2+ years experience
Responsibilities
- Perform Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities for expenses supporting the GCCX organization.
- Prepare and present monthly analysis, commentary, and forecasting, focusing on key drivers, performance metrics, risks, and opportunities to Finance Leadership and business partners.
- Partner with Global Business Partners to develop the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Rolling Forecast, and Strategic Plan.
- Provide insightful analysis on key variables to close expense gaps to targets, mitigate risks, and capitalize on opportunities.
- Manage and maintain all aspects of our globally aligned GCCX cost centers, including planning, forecasting, reporting, and structure maintenance.
- Support the development of business cases for investments and capital projects.
- Design and maintain standardized reporting and analytics to drive consistency across the organization.
- Use insights to continuously improve financial processes and strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with key business and finance partners to drive alignment and results.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and initiatives that support the organization’s goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including developing expense analytics.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key trends and drivers.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, concise insights for management.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
- Proficiency in leveraging systems and data to provide actionable insights and drive decisions.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to influence stakeholders across various levels of management and deliver value to the organization.
- High initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently with limited oversight.
- Experience with cross-functional projects that require matrix collaboration, relationship-building, and influencing others.
- Familiarity with Medtronic financial systems, including SAP, Onestream, Essbase and Hyperion.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- An MBA or CPA designation is a plus.
