Requirements

  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in environmental engineering, environmental studies, environmental science, or another relevant field
  • Experience in environmental compliance
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience with the National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and/or National Historic Preservation Act

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary internal team of environmental specialists.
  • Coordinate with external environmental consultants and contractors to ensure timely, quality deliverables.
  • Define scopes of work, review technical proposals, and oversee execution of environmental studies and documentation.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage project timelines and milestones related to environmental assessments and compliance activities.
  • Ensure integration of environmental considerations into broader project planning and decision-making processes.
  • Identify and mitigate environmental risks early in project development.
  • Track changes in environmental laws and regulations and assess their impact on project development and compliance strategy.
  • Represent environmental interests in cross-functional planning and strategic meetings.
  • Oversee internal environmental project management systems and reporting protocols.
  • Prepare executive-level summaries and briefings for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with our operations team and engineering, procurement, and construction contractor on site preparations.
  • Document work using modern tools and techniques and write well-written, thoughtful, technical reports.
