Requirements
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in environmental engineering, environmental studies, environmental science, or another relevant field
- Experience in environmental compliance
- Experience in project management
- Experience with the National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and/or National Historic Preservation Act
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary internal team of environmental specialists.
- Coordinate with external environmental consultants and contractors to ensure timely, quality deliverables.
- Define scopes of work, review technical proposals, and oversee execution of environmental studies and documentation.
- Develop, maintain, and manage project timelines and milestones related to environmental assessments and compliance activities.
- Ensure integration of environmental considerations into broader project planning and decision-making processes.
- Identify and mitigate environmental risks early in project development.
- Track changes in environmental laws and regulations and assess their impact on project development and compliance strategy.
- Represent environmental interests in cross-functional planning and strategic meetings.
- Oversee internal environmental project management systems and reporting protocols.
- Prepare executive-level summaries and briefings for senior leadership.
- Collaborate with our operations team and engineering, procurement, and construction contractor on site preparations.
- Document work using modern tools and techniques and write well-written, thoughtful, technical reports.
