High school diploma or GED or equivalent
High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of experience in lieu of a diploma/GED

Develops software applications to meet the needs of the hospital.
Works with users, supervisors, and other stakeholders to determine a project specification, system design and architecture.
Provides on-going support for applications, including assessment of issues, documentation of resolution on support tickets, and completion of tickets with designated priority time frames. Helps maintain back-office applications and processes.
Follows programming guidelines, standards and department processes for system deployment, testing and revisions.
Prepares prototypes and documentation to communicate ideas and vision to project team.
Reduces duplication in systems and reports through experience and exposure to business needs and system implementation.
Develops creative and innovative initiatives to improve the services offered by the department.
Provides professional, friendly, and supportive customer service to end users.
Identifies potential areas of improvement for existing projects and proposes and implements changes to improve those processes.
Actively participates in the development life cycle by anticipating problems and recommending alternative solutions.
Assists in evaluating and developing departmental training initiatives for application development.
Leads and completes projects in technologies and areas outside core competencies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
