Responsibilities
- Develops software applications to meet the needs of the hospital.
- Works with users, supervisors, and other stakeholders to determine a project specification, system design and architecture.
- Provides on-going support for applications, including assessment of issues, documentation of resolution on support tickets, and completion of tickets with designated priority time frames. Helps maintain back-office applications and processes.
- Follows programming guidelines, standards and department processes for system deployment, testing and revisions.
- Prepares prototypes and documentation to communicate ideas and vision to project team.
- Reduces duplication in systems and reports through experience and exposure to business needs and system implementation.
- Develops creative and innovative initiatives to improve the services offered by the department.
- Provides professional, friendly, and supportive customer service to end users.
- Identifies potential areas of improvement for existing projects and proposes and implements changes to improve those processes.
- Actively participates in the development life cycle by anticipating problems and recommending alternative solutions.
- Assists in evaluating and developing departmental training initiatives for application development.
- Leads and completes projects in technologies and areas outside core competencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
