Computer Systems Security Analyst

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience, master’s and 2 years of experience or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
Experience in information security, user support, or a related area.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

Develop and maintain information security standards, guidelines, and procedures to enhance the organization’s security posture.
Monitor and analyze security events and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Provide support to end users with applications and systems managed by the organization, ensuring they can perform their assigned duties effectively.
Write reports on security incidents, user access issues, and compliance with security policies.
Implement the concepts of least privilege and need-to-know to ensure that users have appropriate access to resources.
Assist users requiring access to protected resources, including managing user accounts and performing password resets.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configurations and compliance with security standards.
Stay informed about the latest security trends, threats, and best practices to continuously improve security measures.

Prior experience supporting the Social Security Administration or similar government agencies
Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., identity and access management systems)
Experience in designing, developing and producing network solutions
Basic knowledge in mainframe technology languages
Basic knowledge of programming
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM)
