Requirements
- Associate’s college degree or higher, plus three (3) or more years of work experience in insurance marketing role(s); or
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus five (5) or more years work experience in insurance marketing role(s).
- Presently hold a valid Louisiana Property & Casualty insurance license in compliance with continuing education requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to perform basic mathematical calculations such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
- Ability to prioritize time sensitive assignments from multiple Producers in a fast paced work environment.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective presentation and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized multi-tasker with critical attention to details.
- Willingness to take direction and adapt to dynamic processes and protocols with a cooperative attitude.
- Self-motivated and resourceful problem-solver who is able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with 500 Dover Blvd., Lafayette, LA office’s Producers, Marketing Team, and clients on marketing of new and renewal commercial lines business to appropriate underwriters/carriers.
- Serve as a liaison between clients, producers, and representatives of underwriters/carriers.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with representatives of underwriters/carriers.
- Gather and organize appropriate information from client required to market account.
- Evaluate client’s portfolios to determine client’s insurance objectives.
- Research insurance markets to determine the appropriate markets to be approached for assigned accounts.
- Quote and rate new and renewal business and prepare submissions to the market place.
- Review and negotiate coverages and pricing terms with underwriters/carriers.
- Analyze and compare proposed insurance plans to determine suitability.
- Assist Producers with presentations to clients for new and renewal business proposals.
- Issue binding instructions and notification to underwriters/carriers and issue binders.
- Maintain accurate and up to date data and activities in Company’s agency management software according to Company’s policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Applied (EPIC) Agency Management System is preferred.
