Requirements

  • Ability to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and compute bills
  • Ability to manage reservations and maintain records of room availability
  • Ability to enforce hotel company credit policies
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information

Responsibilities

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services and directions
  • Keep records of room availability and guests’ accounts
  • Compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests
  • Date-stamp, sort and rack incoming mail and messages
  • Understand and enforce hotel company credit policies
  • Take initiative to greet guests in a friendly manner
  • Take responsibility for assigned employees in the absence of the Department Manager
  • Make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guests
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional
  • Other duties as assigned
