Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years’ experience in manufacturing
- 3 years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain
Responsibilities
- Manage a group of hourly team leaders and team members, providing direct communication and leadership to ensure a safe operating environment.
- Demonstrate leadership skills to achieve/exceed all safety, quality, cost, and team member development objectives.
- Provide/coordinate training and developmental opportunities, fostering a respect for people environment.
- Utilize strong communication skills as the primary communication link between leadership and the production team.
- Daily Management of an assigned area, including safety, quality, productivity, cost, and team member development.
- Utilize problem solving skills to visualize and eliminate process bottlenecks, improve equipment/tooling, and team member ergonomics.
- Engage your team in Toyota Business Practices and Quality Circles to resolve issues and develop your team’s capabilities.
- Must be capable of utilizing engineering principles to resolve day to day concerns and be capable of understanding team member conceptual ideas and developing them into practical applications and solutions.
- Utilize project management and planning skills to translate the division annual business plan to daily activities for your team.
- Manage area budget, including operating supplies, raw materials, staffing – continuously looking for improvement opportunities.
- Multi shift operation requires shift rotation.
