- Operations Center Or Dispatch Center (2 Years)

Responsibilities
- Provides coordination of maintenance and procurement of Communication Center Dispatch equipment, to include:
- Provides oversight of radio equipment, ensuring regular maintenance is performed, coordinating maintenance and repair requests with vendors, upkeep and replacement of auxiliary equipment, and inventory control.
- Coordinates radio equipment procurement and assignment for incoming Officers, and initiates communication with St. Louis County ECC for alias updates.
- Makes recommendations and coordinates purchases for all upgrades to the system.
- Develops and conducts training in the proper use of the radio system and Departmental protocols with all personnel.
- Assists with any radio reprogramming efforts through St. Louis County ECC.
- Assists with on-site coordination of WUPD radio site maintenance, repair and communication.
- Upkeep of license and contract information and dates.
- Serves as the Departmental liaison to the Regional Justice Information Systems (REJIS).
- Ensures Departmental compliance with the use of REJIS.
- Reviews requests for dissemination of REJIS information outside the Department.
- Coordinates the training/certification of all employees authorized to use the system.
- Coordinates on-boarding of new employees, to include REJIS setup and Universal ID.
- Serves as back up liaison with Access Control to have continued communication in the areas of: CCTV (PASS). Card Access.
- Coordinates on-boarding of new WUPD employees with Card Services, ensuring proper ID credentials and card pick-up in conjunction with Access Control for proper ID card encoding.
- Provides assistance, as needed, with CALEA Accreditation, crime data collection, significant Department projects or equipment purchases/transitions.
- Provides support during Special Events to include, WILD, Commencement, Move-In, and large-scale events that affect the Danforth Campus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the St. Louis County Emergency Communication System and Inter-Operability Network.
- Experience in a Police Department/Public Safety setting.
