Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology degree from an accredited college and 3 year or more of experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments.
- Knowledge of manufacturing control systems, such as: PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers); variable speed and servo motor drives; HMI (Human Machine Interfaces); sensors and instrumentation; automated inspection systems.
- Exposure to applied distributed control systems including technology understanding and development with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements.
- A demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project results within required timeframes.
- Experience working with Technical Service Providers and/or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and demonstrated ability to drive project results.
Responsibilities
- Develop and upgrade equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines while providing accurate documentation. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.
- Work closely with fellow engineers on multiple equipment, product or process improvement projects from conception through commercialization.
- Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development, and optimization of equipment and processes to meet unit objectives.
- Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, LEAN principles, and project management.
- Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to eliminate root cause.
- Coach and mentor team members within the facility in areas of expertise including technical training, problem solving, and knowledge transfer.
