Requirements
- Bachelor degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in engineering, testing, instrumentations and controls experience) + 5 years of experience in Engineering, Facilities Management, System Testing, and / or Instrumentation
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve site instrumentation and measurement techniques
- Collaborate with other GE test facilities to share best practices, and identify opportunities to drive consistency, simplification, and efficiency across sites
- Produce plans to ensure technical requirements, costs, and schedules are met
- Set realistic and challenging goals for the support of test operations
- Provide training and support to test design teams and operators
- Interface with both internal and external organizations and supporting functions
- Direct / coordinate the efforts of project team members in order to accomplish overall goals
- Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
- Coordinate, direct, and coach the activities of operational support requirements and team members
- Provide input on other individual contributor performance, training, and development needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Data Acquisition System (DAS) experience
- Experience in defining, implementing, trouble-shooting instrumentation and/or maintenance of measurement chains
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude (PLC’s, control systems)
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
