Requirements
- Must be able to proactively engage with customers, building strong relationships to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Understanding of automotive repair and maintenance, particularly with Nissan vehicles.
- Ability to identify and create upselling opportunities by understanding customer needs and recommending relevant parts and services.
- Provide excellent communication and customer service skills by delivering excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Eager to meet and exceed sales targets, particularly in upselling and increasing the average order value.
- Ability to provide feedback and insights to the management team to improve sales strategies and customer experience.
- Computer savvy with the ability to use inventory management systems. CDK experience is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer’s payment, including deductibles.
- Prepare repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system.
- Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
- Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.
- Keeping customer informed of service specials, completion times and service expenses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer 2 years of experience as a service advisor
- Automotive aptitude and knowledge are preferred
- Communication skills – communicates effectively with others.
- Time management – managing one’s own time and time of others.
- Typing – ability to type efficiently in order to enter repair orders.
- Basic computer & cost calculation skills.
