Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent education
- One year of general work and/or volunteer experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances
- Must pass a background investigation
- Must pass a sanction check performed through the National Healthcare Data Bank (NHDB)
Responsibilities
- Ensure all dental cassettes and instruments are processed through sterilization
- Ensure all dental cassettes are complete and in good condition for next use
- Ensure all kits are wrapped and labeled with type of cassette, sterilizer number, and the date the cassette was run
- Ensure all handpieces are maintained according to manufacturer’s instructions
- Ensure all cassettes are properly sterilized and stored according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration Sterilization code
- Use proper infection control procedures while transporting instruments to sterilization
- Check in dental instruments to dental students upon request using a dental tracking system
- Perform general cleaning services within various buildings located on the Shadow Lane Campus
