Requirements
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Community Programming, Health Administration, Business, and other health-related fields preferred
- A Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited school is preferred
- Certified Lactation Educator preferred
- Previous experience working with women’s health and working with low-income, at-risk populations is preferred
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines
Responsibilities
- Overall coordination of the Lactation Services throughout LA and OC
- Supervises and monitors the Lactation Clinic referrals
- Updates and manages client files through the use of electronic medical records
- Develops lactation clinic schedule
- Provides lactation classes
- Tracks and monitors patient progress
- Ensures that data collection and reporting processes are accurate and valid
- Manages and tracks the referral of clients to necessary support services in the community
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Community Programming, Health Administration, Business, and other health-related fields preferred
