Requirements
- Broad knowledge of systems, department and industry
- Experience in Collection and Charge-off Recovery for all Individual Segment Banking Products
- Experience in strategy and workload management
- Experience in managing staff
- Experience in cost center management including budgeting, loss forecasting, and expense management
- Ability to negotiate with realtors or attorneys
- Experience in vendor management for third-party collection agencies and law firms
- Ability to conduct audits and exams
- Experience in quality assurance and quality control
- Expertise in multiple technology systems used in Collections (TCS, RMS, Hogan, ICE-MSP)
Responsibilities
- Accountable for one or more related departments and multiple products across multiple Banks
- Develops departmental business plans
- Manages through Managers
- Create and execute collection strategies to improve collection and recovery effectiveness
- Recruit, select, train, coach and develop direct reports in Management and Associate roles
- Review and sign-off approval of invoices and legal expenses for loans
- Responsible for signing notarized documents for Loan modifications and mortgage related loss mitigation
- Conduct property site visits and review values to determine foreclosure options and decisions
- Prepare and present monthly results to senior management at various meetings
- Represent the department in various external and internal regulatory exams
- Monitor staff performance and promote changes, identify improvements, prepare and complete action plans
- Maintain policies, guidelines and procedures for all products
- Responsible for end results and assist in administering multiple technology systems used in Collections
