Requirements
- A proven track record of commitment to prior employers
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college
- 2–5 years of experience in lease abstraction, lease administration, or legal document review
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database systems
- Demonstrated understanding of commercial lease structures and accounting implications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret detailed commercial lease documents, including amendments and related legal documents
- Abstract critical lease data such as base rent, commencement and expiration dates, CAM charges, escalations, renewal options, and tenant improvements
- Resolve data discrepancies through detailed cross-referencing and stakeholder collaboration
- Maintain a high level of data quality and compliance within CoStar’s proprietary systems
- Act as a subject matter expert for process improvement and data accuracy initiatives
- Support junior team members through informal mentorship and knowledge sharing
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality
- Maintain privacy and discretion with all data extracted from leases
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or legal studies
- Experience with lease accounting platforms or lease management systems
- Demonstrated success working with performance metrics or KPIs
- Experience working in fast-paced, data-driven environments
