Requirements
- 3 years of experience with automotive electrical sub-systems
- Quality Engineering experience
- Ability to work off-shift and over-time as needed
- Must be able to help root cause highly complex issues and work well with products and engineers and then translate executive summaries to non-technical people
Responsibilities
- Be a member of the plant’s Electrical Team – an integrated, technical organization consisting of members from Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality and Product Development organizations focused on problem solving the plant’s top external and internal quality problems. Report to the Lead Launch Electrical Coordinator within that team.
- Ensure compliance to the Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO) standards
- Single point contact for module reflash
- Ensure reflashed parts are used correctly
- Write SPPS/PRTS for software/module issues provided by diagnostician
- Assist Launch Wiring Coordinator with wiring and hardware quality concerns.
- Ensure TWO/EWO breakpoints are executed correctly by working with the CIC Coordinator
- Single point of contact to the Electrical Team for VeSCom releases
- Manage AVG ignores to ensure they are tracked, implemented, and correctly removed, when necessary, by directly communicating with the DVT Coordinator
- Module scrap tracking and resolution on defective parts
- Maintain supplier module tester list (list of suppliers with who have testers, if they don’t why they don’t and expected timing for testers. Expectation for all testers by SORP)
- Update Electrical End of Line tracker
- GCA Electrical sufficiency Lead and tracker/owner
- Support other Electrical team members as needed/directed
- Improving the Programming metric is a critical component of the DRR and meeting the greater than 95% for BIQ4
- Provide test files when needed (snapshot, fault file, Vehicle Spy Log Files, etc)
- Improving the pass rate at GBFTT has a direct correlation to improving warranty performance and plant throughput.
- The QE Electrical Software/BP Coordinator role development gives us all the tools to immediately improve production and eliminate product issues using the PTR, SPPS and PRTS processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with automotive electrical sub-systems
- Launch experience
- Software experience
- Supply chain experience
- Thorough working knowledge of GMS as well supporting BIQ4 Deliverables
- Knowledge of GEPICs/SPR and how that correlates to the release of software to the plant
- Manufacturing plant experience in either Electrical or Plant Floor Operations
- Quality system knowledge of processes in manufacturing
- DVT Experience or Electrical Engineering
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills with capability to identify solutions
- Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing Requirements and how they impact the build process
