Requirements
- BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related degree required.
- 7 years of logistics experience
- Strong communication, analytical and leadership experience required.
- Strong knowledge of transportation industry including truckload, less-than-truckload, air, ocean, and parcel
- Experience in managing a diverse global team.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, think critically, and deliver solutions in support of operational excellence.
- Working knowledge of international trade and compliance to international regulations.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of transportation management systems.
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word.
- Legal work authorization in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Provide global oversight for Copeland’s Logistics Operations Team which manages the logistics execution of Copeland’s inbound and outbound transportation through a combination of people, standard global processes, and global systems.
- Partner with Logistics Mode Managers to understand the operational requirements for each mode of transportation.
- Partner with IT to develop solutions to execute those in Copeland’s Transportation Management System
- Actively engage with freight forwarders, ocean carriers, truckers, and custom brokers to drive root cause improvements for the timely delivery of goods.
- Passion to exceed Service Level Expectations in support of suppliers, manufacturing operations, and shipments to customers.
- Develop and actively manage training documents and standard work instructions to assist in onboarding of new team members and cross functional capability for existing team members.
- Use operational data to identify opportunities to reduce cost, streamline or automate operational processes, and improve service to our internal/external customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree.
