Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent certificate
- Certified Medical Assistant, graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program
- CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA law
Responsibilities
- See upwards of 30 patients per day
- Responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care
- Rooming patients and collecting vitals
- Perform pulmonary function tests, administration of injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests, and other duties as assigned
- Maintain attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred
- Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred
