Requirements
- A minimum of High School diploma or GED required.
- Must pass Poss/Mass exam
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance instruments manuals.
- Team player with good communications skills and the ability to follow directions.
- Ability to interact with co-workers and all levels of management in a professional manner.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Maintain mechanical equipment.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment and develop solutions to operational or performance issues is crucial.
- Maintain distributed control systems.
- Support local start-up of all major equipment (turbines, compressors, pumps, motors, etc.).
- Continually look for opportunities to create value through innovation and efficient use of existing resources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred – working experience with multiple shop tools, e.g. lathe, mill, drill press, pipe threader, laser alignment equipment.
- Preferred – welding experience.
- Preferred – operator experience on a variety of types of heavy equipment, e.g. bulldozers, backhoes, scrapers, dump trucks.
