Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in aircraft simulator training device maintenance and the operating systems, visual imagery, and display systems associated with flight simulators/training devices; or a minimum of five years of aircraft avionics component maintenance and repair.
- Must hold an active secret clearance or possess ability to obtain a clearance within 6 months
- Has experience working on FMS contracts/working with international end users
- Will have the ability to multi-task and operate with a flexible work schedule
- Assist instructors/aircrews during scheduled training missions, installations and future upgrades.
- Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training device
- Experience in flight simulators and training equipment is highly recommended.
Responsibilities
- Supports and maintains the Fâ15QA Full Mission Trainers, and Integrated Maintenance Trainers with associated visual systems and peripherals
- Will have experience in all aspects of training device operations and general maintenance experience conducting inspections/tests, managing spares, and using the Instructor Operating Station to operate the trainers in addition to any other necessary levels of support.
- Performs troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, reconfiguration, and modification of the Training Devices and other electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems as required under supervision
- Assists with repairs and tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software
- Performs logistical, administrative, and other collateral duties as necessary to maintain the training devices.
- Assist engineers in troubleshooting systems and configuring support equipment
- Demonstrated ability to work well in diverse teams.
- Work under limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Already holds an Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- IT background skills (highly desired)
- 4+ years of experience in aircraft simulator training device maintenance and the operating systems, visual imagery, and display systems associated with flight simulators/training devices; or a minimum of five years of aircraft avionics component maintenance and repair.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team to repair/test, install, upgrade and assist in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software.
- Have a can-do attitude and the ability to work on multiple tasks assigned by team-lead/manager under pressure, and to resolve competing demands on time to deliver results without compromising technical or platform integrity
- Knowledgeable in Windows operating systems and computing networks.
