Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, a closely related field of study, or relevant industrial experience
- Scientific knowledge and ability to understand and carry out standard methods relevant to the department
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working with standard laboratory equipment and MS Office
Responsibilities
- Receiving, drying, and bottling customer samples
- Cutting fabrics for further analysis
- Ashing samples to determine inorganic content within a mid to high sample volume laboratory
- Setting up and operating laboratory equipment according to standard operating procedures
- Recording experimental data, making calculations, presenting data, and communicating progress
- Responsible for safe working conditions and adheres to local, federal, and institutional safety regulations and policies
