Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) or more years of experience in business intelligence analysis, reporting, or IT product management within financial services or insurance is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools and technologies, including Qlik Sense, Tableau, CRM solutions, and similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, and cloud-based data management solutions.
  • Knowledge of Insurance Solutions: Annuity, Life Insurance, Long-Term Care and Disability products.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile tools (TFS, GIT, ADO, JIRA) and best practices in data analytics, visualization, and reporting frameworks.
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and relevant securities and insurance industry regulations.
  • Skill in advanced SQL query writing and analysis across relational databases and cloud platforms.
  • Skill in using CRM SaaS solutions (MS 365 Dynamics, etc.) to support BI initiatives.
  • Skill in leveraging BI/reporting platforms such as Qlik Sense, with a readiness to obtain necessary certifications.
  • Skill in implementing Agile methodologies using tools like TFS, ADO, and JIRA.
  • Skill in integrating IT product management with the dynamic needs of financial services and insurance solutions.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data and inbound requests efficiently across Insurance Solutions.
  • Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable insights for strategic business decision-making.
  • Ability to develop, standardize, and optimize reporting frameworks that meet diverse Insurance Solutions requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technology and development teams to ensure seamless IT execution.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving business needs, ensuring scalability and continuous improvement in BI capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement business intelligence solutions using platforms such as Qlik Sense (primary) / Tableau / BI solutions, tailored to Insurance Solutions unique requirements.
  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations to facilitate strategic decision-making.
  • Manage and process incoming data and reporting requests across all Insurance Solutions business lines, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Clear existing backlogs and establish standardized reporting frameworks to support consistent business insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to translate business reporting requirements into technical solutions.
  • Utilize SQL Server and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Snowflake) for robust database management and advanced analytics.
  • Apply a hybrid approach that leverages both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to manage IT product enhancements and reporting initiatives.
  • Drive continuous process improvement in data handling, reporting efficiency, and IT product management.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Qlik Sense functionalities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred certifications include BI /Reporting Technology, Qlik Sense, SQL, and cloud technology credentials (AWS, Azure, Snowflake), as well as CRM platform certifications such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
