Mechanical Engineering Intern

Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree program at an accredited college or university.
Experience with the SolidWorks software suite.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
Completion of sophomore-level engineering curriculum.
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Must be self-motivated with the desire to learn and perform diverse work.
Must work well with others and be able to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions.
Average physical mobility to move around an office and lab environment.

Create and modify detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings using the SolidWorks software suite.
Assist the design, development, installation, and maintenance of mechanical hardware and/or systems.
Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams, taking design input from multiple engineering disciplines.
Perform tasks to completion semi-independently after receiving technical direction.
Work with production staff to ensure products are manufactured as designed and in a timely manner.
Participate in product verification testing designed to ensure requirements are being met.
Migrate engineering data from legacy system to new system.
