Requirements
- Must hold an active Secret clearance prior to start. (US Citizenship required)
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience; additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency with enterprise-class server-based services such as: directory services, collaboration tools, monitoring tools, virtual infrastructure, and Linux.
- DoD IAT Level II (Security+ ) certification or equivalent is required.
Responsibilities
- Base OS Linux Admin experience would be good (Storage and Networking Fundamentals)
- Experience with RedHat Satellite Servers
- Experience building custom packages for RHEL/CentOS using RPM
- Ansible experience
- VMWare operations
- Integration with AD and Linux
- Install, configure, and maintain servers in a Linux environment
- Monitor the health of the Linux servers through both automated and manual processes
- Perform server hardware maintenance and security upgrades
- Maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and programs
- Forecast backend infrastructure needs resulting from the migration of over 20 agencies into a single architecture
- Design solutions, integrate, configure, test and deploy numerous types server-based applications based on Linux, and VMware operating systems.
- Conduct data captures to obtain computing performance and system configuration information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team
- Strong working knowledge of Unix system fundamentals and common network protocols
- Experience managing Linux/UNIX operating systems in a heterogeneous environment.
- Solid understanding of networked computing environment concepts
- Microsoft Azure
