Overview

Job Purpose

The Senior Business Analyst for Product Development is responsible for extracting and analyzing large sets of data and drafting requirements related to ICE’s derivative market data. The role works with the business, operations, and engineering departments to design and develop product reference data solutions and business initiative execution plans for ICE’s global futures and options derivatives markets. Additionally, this position focuses on designing and managing solutions to ensure accuracy and efficiency in data distribution across various domains and systems.

Responsibilities

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with PL/SQL and Python required; must be able to independently create and refine advanced database queries for data analysis
  • Strong SQL skills for database query execution and refinement; thorough understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles
  • Tableau or similar data analysis tool experience required
  • Experience working with Java or Kotlin a plus
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)—Strong Excel skills required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; technical and functional business writing skills required
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to write unambiguous requirements that do not imply design; must be results-oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to effectively facilitate requirements gathering sessions, reviews, and issue resolution involving multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of software testing practices to contribute to high quality software
