Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of experience in multifamily property management, with at least 2 years in affordable housing
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, or other affordable housing program compliance
- Property management certification (e.g., COS, TCS, HCCP, CPO) strongly preferred
- Proficient in property management software (e.g., Yardi, OneSite, RealPage)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with all affordable housing program requirements (e.g., LIHTC, Section 8, HUD, HOME, etc.)
- Oversee initial, annual, and interim recertifications, income verifications, and file audits
- Prepare for and respond to agency file reviews, inspections, and audits
- Maintain accurate and complete resident files and property records
- Manage day-to-day operations including leasing, rent collection, maintenance coordination, and vendor management
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure curb appeal, safety, and cleanliness
- Coordinate and supervise onsite staff (leasing agents, maintenance, janitorial, etc.)
- Develop and implement operating budgets and ensure financial performance goals are met
- Foster a positive community environment through communication, conflict resolution, and resident engagement
- Address and resolve resident complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Oversee marketing and outreach efforts to ensure maximum occupancy and compliance with income limits
- Ensure all leasing activity follows fair housing laws and program-specific requirements
