Requirements

  • Deep understanding and direct experience working in US defined contribution market
  • Track record of building and marketing complex solutions with and for clients, including multi-asset class strategies such as Target Date Funds and Retirement Income solutions
  • Existing DC industry profile and relationships that can accelerate the success of sales initiatives
  • Strong technical ability and investment acumen
  • Proven ability to form and cultivate positive relationships with clients and internal colleagues
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7-10 years of global investment management experience required
  • Experience in presenting to institutional clients required
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Self-starter that will excel and thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial team environment

Responsibilities

  • Meet with plan sponsors and institutional investment consultants, in collaboration with the Client Coverage Group, to drive the retention and adoption of SSGA’s investment strategies
  • Serve as an expert, internally and externally, on our DC strategies and the broader Retirement offerings, and drive knowledge on industry trends
  • Coordinate across internal investment and product teams to ensure a best-in-class DC offering and client experience
  • Develop relationships with our business partners, notably across State Street’s investment teams, as well as with clients and consultants
  • Spend time contributing to DC innovation, ensuring we are developing today what will be needed tomorrow
  • Attend and present at conferences, driving SSGA’s position as a DC partner and expert

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA or progress towards CFA strongly preferred
  • Experience in the US DC market strongly preferred
