Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent applicable experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, as it relates to conveying technical information internally and externally.
  • Experience working within Change Control Boards (CCBs)
  • Experience in managing repositories that track assets, configurations, and relationships across systems.
  • Shares knowledge and assists others in the completion of their tasks to support team goals.
  • Ability to keep abreast of changing software technology.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team with little supervision and guidance.
  • Must be able to travel as needed to customer sites.
  • Must be able to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Public Safety business unit in deploying Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems, hardware, and more to emergency management customers.
  • Manage configuration items throughout their lifecycle, ensuring that all changes are systematically controlled and that configurations are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Develop and maintain configuration management plans.
  • Manage software and hardware configurations.
  • Conduct audits and provide support during deployment and maintenance phases.
  • Travel to customer sites to provide onsite support and ensure compliance with configuration management policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in configuration management of IT systems.
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools and version control systems, including experience maintaining records for compliance and operational tracking.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with experience implementing change control procedures.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in Public Safety (Fire, EMS, Police) environments is a plus.
