Requirements
- Experience in delivering final design for Major FDOT projects including FDOT Miscellaneous Structures, Minor Bridge Design, Major Bridge Design, and complex bridge design.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical/business field and typically 20+ years of related work experience is required.
- Proven ability to perform in a leadership role in the structures discipline.
- Strong business acumen and proven experience in management of staff resulting in profitable projects and favorable FDOT grades.
- In-depth knowledge of FDOT design procedures, and associated state and federal guidelines/requirements.
- State of Florida Professional Engineer registration is required.
Responsibilities
- Utilize industry experience and knowledge of client to assist with pursuit strategies
- Identify key pursuits
- Lead pursuit efforts (pre-sale, teaming, proposal, interview, presentations, etc.)
- Scope development/refinement
- Negotiations
- Team (internal/external) collaboration and coordination during project delivery
- Management and mentoring of staff
- Leading internal/external progress meetings
- Management of discipline scope, schedule, and budget
- Identification of opportunities for follow-up work
