Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 4-8 years of prior relevant experience, or a MS degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience. 12 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Must possess at least a Top-Secret clearance.
- Experience designing and implementing secure data storage and integration solutions.
- Strong proficiency with SQL and experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS S3, Azure Data Lake).
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance standards, particularly in DoD or classified environments.
- Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and working with structured and unstructured data sources.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable data management solutions to support storage, retrieval, processing, and analysis of large datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including data analysts, scientists, and software developers—to define and prioritize data management requirements.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency across data sources and systems, and enforce best practices for metadata and documentation.
- Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with DoD regulations, including RMF, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIG.
- Architect and manage data storage solutions, including relational databases, data lakes, and cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Support analytics and reporting by ensuring datasets are properly formatted, validated, and accessible to authorized users.
- Work with analysts and data scientists to support the development of data-driven solutions, including predictive models, dashboards, and machine learning pipelines.
- Provide technical support and training on data management tools and technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, ETL tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Stay current with emerging technologies in data management, cloud storage, big data, and artificial intelligence and apply innovations to improve performance and mission outcomes.
- Support initiatives for data mining, advanced analytics, and visualization that drive operational insights and decision support for the EDAT program.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience supporting DoD programs, particularly within USSOCOM or similar operational environments.
- Knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD data lifecycle management practices.
- Familiarity with tools such as Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica, or similar ETL platforms.
- Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments with CI/CD integration.
- Background in developing data pipelines for use in AI/ML workloads or real-time analytics.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
