Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree; MBA desirable. CPM preferred.
- 10+ years of proven experience in IT Procurement (7+ years in a leadership role), Supply Chain, and/or Project Management in a regulated industry desired.
- Experience with new technology programs, and stage gate processes with the ability to handle a multitude of projects, required.
- A top-tier negotiator with knowledge of cost tools such as material breakdown, benchmarking, value analysis, value engineering, sophisticated RFQs, and innovative purchasing tools.
- Travel of 10%-25% including global travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of IT strategic sourcing managers and be IT primary procurement point of contact for all new and existing technology projects and will contribute as the subject matter expert for contract and sourcing strategy and planning.
- Continuously and proactively investigate new suppliers and technologies to submit ideas to IT stakeholders to maintain a funnel of opportunities to support interpersonal goals.
- Partner with IT and business leadership to ensure that IT strategies, projects, vendor SRM activities including score-carding, market and business intelligence, accountability for deliverables, continuous improvement are all managed to meet the expectations of Baxter.
- Develop robust category strategies that reduce supply base, reduce dependence on single/sole sourced suppliers, deliver continuity of supply, and provide for annual cost reductions.
- Manage, strategize and deliver all aspects of Strategic Sourcing and Spend Management.
- Effectively partner and collaborate long term relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Develop supplier relationship management and risk assessments; implementation of appropriate risk mitigation plans.
- Lead robust business review process with suppliers and internal stakeholders which includes performance, innovation, creation of competitive advantage for Baxter.
- Ability to collaborate in a global cross functional matrixed environment, including ability to influence, negotiate and manage stakeholder interests/expectations.
- Create a short-term and long-term plan for optimal delivery of cost reduction, supplier continuity, continuous improvement in vendor delivery and performance.
- Able to meet deadlines, balancing multiple priorities, managing a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Capable of managing acquisition and divestment activities (M&A)
Preferred Qualifications
