Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • Bachelor Degree Nursing
  • 5 or more years experience actively practicing as a Registered Nurse
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) – Single State – State Board of Nursing Must have current active multistate state Register Nurse (RN) license in good standing in state in which you live OR active single state RN license in good standing in the state you will be working with proof of application of a multistate RN license in the state in which you live.
  • Staff hired prior to 2/1/2024 are required to obtain a multistate state RN license from the state in which they live at the time of their next RN license renewal by 3/31/2026.
  • Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) (Non-Clinical) – American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days
  • CPR/ AED/ BLS – Other BLS

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities.
  • Maintains effective nursing staff coverage within budgetary constraints.
  • Screens and interviews nursing applicants and orients and trains staff.
  • Assists with the review and revision of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Assists in verifying encounter form charges to ensure proper/appropriate charges.
  • Assists with annual performance evaluations for nursing staff.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime.
  • Ensures nurses maintain all required competencies on an annual basis.
  • Verifies all licensing and national certification criteria are met.
  • Provides support and direction as required in the area of clinical research in the practice to ensure staff compliance to the established research protocols.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
