Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Three to five years of leadership experience required
- Two to five years of inventory control experience required
Responsibilities
- Provides oversight, direction and accountability to all Inventory Control processes and ensures team adherence to company policy and procedure
- Supervises the distribution center inventory control team to improve individual and overall team performance
- Provides performance coaching, feedback, and counseling
- Collaborates with Inventory Control Process Leader to develop procedural recommendations intended to improve the overall accuracy, safeguarding, and efficient handling of all managed inventory
- Develops programs to maintain tight security specific to managed inventory and works with local distribution center management to ensure that only authorized personnel have access to product and records
- Ensures adequate supervision and separation of duties to protect against issues of theft, negligence, or gross mismanagement
- Manages overall coordination of scheduled or requested physical inventories for assigned distribution centers
- Establishes and maintains a viable bin verification program, consistent with company policy and procedure
- Documents any customer specific Standard Operating Procedures, ensures they are consistent with company policies and procedures, and submits them for approval by the Vice President of Inventory Performance
- Continuously reviews inventory functions to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy of processes in a dynamic environment
- Qualifies to execute all essential inventory control job functions at the distribution center
