Requirements

  • Requires comprehensive knowledge of external market dynamics, including emerging trends and industry best practices and a strong network of external compensation professionals
  • Proven experience in compensation consulting, preferably within high-tech firms along with expertise in data analytics, competitor comparison, and market forecasting
  • Experience with skills-based pay, pay transparency initiatives, and in-depth knowledge of sales roles and structures
  • Excellent communication, executive presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain external alliances with survey vendors and industry experts
  • Typically requires 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support benchmarking market studies to ensure Dell’s compensation offerings are aligned with global market standards, including setting salary ranges, pay differentials, compensation modeling, and communicating recommendations to senior HR leadership
  • Maintain a deep understanding of global market dynamics and regulatory environments
  • Represent the organization on complex compensation projects from overall project design, solutions, recommendations, and influencing key stakeholders
  • Serve as a thought leader and advisor to assigned internal client groups to enhance and nurture organizational compensation capabilities
  • Build external alliances with survey vendors and industry experts to gain and share information and industry trends. Act as a liaison with survey vendors and consultants on various matters such as market intelligence, trends, and contracts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in automating compensation processes and strong knowledge of Workday, Excel, and analytical software tools
  • Preferred a degree in Statistics or Data Science. Knowledge of Python and VB programming languages
