Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field required
- 10+ years’ experience in Manufacturing/Project Engineering, or similar role
- Spaceflight hardware sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, and assembly background
- Experience with SOLIDWORKS 3D modeling software or similar computer-aided design tools
- Experience with PDM tools such as Siemens Teamcenter, SOLIDWORKS PDM or similar
- Experience with producibility reviews, drawings reviews, and configuration control processes
- Experience authoring work instructions
- Experience with Atlassian suite
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to address project challenges
- Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet tight deadlines and quality objectives
- Highly proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Interfacing with Engineering subsystem teams to assist in Spacecraft hardware design and development
- Creating and updating working instructions to include drawing reviews, process specifications, and required certifications
- Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle
- Providing guidance and recommendations on Design for manufacturability (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA) and Design for Integration (DfI)
- Generating manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) upon release of engineering drawings
- Working closely with spacecraft designers to ensure hardware is assembled, integrated, tested, and ready for space flight
- Reviewing plans, inspecting fabrications, conducting investigations, and providing recommendations as necessary to assure compliance with aerospace established requirements, regulations, guidelines, and procedures
- Ensuring production cycles are met from product design through acceptance, including product fabrication
- Other duties as assigned
