Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
  • Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • Sole Citizenship to the United States of America
  • 1 year of experience with any of the following tools and languages: DOORs, Cameo, TeamCenter, GIT, JAZZ, NX, Capitol
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience or a PhD and 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performing decomposition of Department of Defense safety manuals into requirements and allocating them to design teams for implementation
  • Provide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation ICBM weapon system
  • Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems
  • Evaluate the physical security design based on the Department of Defense Safety manuals
  • Interface directly with various compartments of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systems
  • Use model based engineering tools on a major weapon system to pioneer a new way to evaluate and analyze modern design
  • Learn a niche discipline that spans all aspects of Nuclear Power and Munitions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nuclear, electrical, or software engineering discipline
  • Active DOD Top Secret Clearance
  • 1 year of experience with electrical analyses/test and verification of requirements
  • Experience working with Nuclear Surety Requirements and the Nuclear Certification process (e.g. AFI 63-125, AFMAN 91-118/91-119/31-108, DODM 5210.41, AFI 91-107)
  • Experience and working knowledge of the Sentinel program
