Requirements
- Apply standard accounting principles, financial control procedures, computerized accounting systems/software, and fiscal management.
- Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, vendors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
Responsibilities
- Process customer invoices for completed events and other activities
- Set up new customers within accounting system
- Prepare deposit reports & record deposits within accounting system
- Record daily parking revenue within accounting system
- Maintain and update A/R aging report
- Responsible for collections on all A/R accounts
- Actively coordinates with Finance, Sales, and event department to ensure collection of license agreement deposits
- Maintains all customer and vendor files, respond to inquiries and research discrepancies
- Maintains financial spreadsheets relating to deposits/payments received which will be used by the department
- Support year-end audit functions and assist with other projects as needed
- Back up to Accounts Payable and Payroll duties
- Must have the ability to interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, and polite manner. This includes initiating contact with guests within 10 feet – i.e., smiling, saying ‘Good Day’, or aiding when needed.
- Must feel comfortable with around large groups or speaking to a guest.
- Understands the importance of providing customer service and in understanding of ‘The Magic is in the details.’
- All other assigned duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in accounting, business or finance preferred or equivalent accounting experience
- Experience with an accounting software package is preferred.
